Re: Vpaint function of a conjecture (the future may be reali

For reference, here is a related question for support of alpha channel videos in Blender:

Re: Vpaint function of a conjecture (the future may be reali

Unfortunately, video formats that support an alpha channel are quite rare and not very well supported. I'd suggest instead to export the animation as a sequence of PNG images. However, yes, if I find an easy way to support such formats, I will be happy to do it, since it can be very useful. :)

Re: Vpaint function of a conjecture (the future may be reali

Yes, that would be cool indeed! It is lot of work though, and not very high priority, so it is unlikely that I would implement this soon. ;)

Re: How to create an animation from two separate frames?

Hi Alex, I'll see if I have time to make a better tutorial later, but the basic idea is explained here: https://youtu.be/Xk1_CugdytI?t=3m34s The idea is the following. I assume your two separate frames are at frame 0 and 4. Go to frame 0, and select one of the edges Go to frame 4, and while holding ...

Re: Vpaint function of a conjecture (the future may be reali

Thank you for the feedback! I agree, I also prefer the way it was in VPaint 1.5 myself. The reason I changed is that on MacOS, drawing the buttons directly over the drawing area (like in VPaint 1.5) is not possible (this is a limitation of the Qt library which I am using). So I changed to something ...

Re: VPaint vs Flash... or Others

Thank you for the encouragement! You're already helping more than you think, since what I need most are people to remind me how important it is to keep this project going ;-) I am planning to start a crowdfunding campaign when the time is right, probably in about 18 months. In the meantime, I am fin...

Re: Vpaint function of a conjecture (the future may be reali

Hi 爪哇程序猿 ! Yes, I am not entirely sure yet what would be the best user interface for this yet, but animation loops are a must! Note that currently, it is already possible (though very clunky) to achieve something similar. Suppose you want to copy all the frames 1,2,3,4 into 5,6,7,8. You can do this:...

Re: Vpaint function of a conjecture (the future may be reali

Thanks for the suggestion! Instead of a pixel "brush", what you're suggesting is more to have pixel "layers", like in Pencil2D: http://www.pencil2d.org/tutorials/. Of course, layers can be hidden for the final render. But in fact, I don't think they are necessary ;) The same functionality can be ach...

Re: Vpaint are too good

Very very nice! I really like how the mouth "merge" into the silhouette!

You're right, I didn't realize the shortcut for line width in Sketch and Sculpt were different, it would be better if they were the same! Eventually this will be customizable yes :)
