There are some intriguing things here, keep those ideas coming! I made an animated fractal in VPaint, inspired partly by your latest post. It's not psychedelic but it's the best VPaint can do right now I think. You can find it on my gallery on this forum: http://vpaint.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=...

Re: scribblemaniac's Gallery
I was inspired by 爪哇程序猿's animated Julia sets to create an animated fractal that actually uses VPaint. This is also as celebration of my 1 year anniversary (roughly) since I first found VPaint. I hope you enjoy my animated Koch Snowflake. It may be slow the first time because GIF compression isn't t...

As a work around you can scale in the negative direction like so:

Re: scribblemaniac's Gallery
Thanks, despite these beautiful failures I would say that 'v1' of the svg importer is very near, as I am close to completing the path tag. After that it's just animation stuff I think. Keep up the good work on the OpenVAC, it's best to do it right the first time! Here is another piece in the ellipse...

Re: scribblemaniac's Gallery
I didn't intend on making another one this soon, but I stumbled upon this and I wanted to post it right away. I call it "Weave": http://i.imgbox.com/F6QCCsEy.png This is one of my many failures to make a ellipse/circle path for the SVG importer feature. I can assure you that the final result will be...

Re: scribblemaniac's Gallery
I definitely think you should put the SIGGRAPH .vec files in the gallery; most people coming here wouldn't even look at the code. Thank you for offering, I do actually have a question about the file format. What is the first number in curve attribute of edge elements for? Other than that, everything...

Re: Inkscape(like) drawing interface possible?
It's not really an exaggeration at all. No commercial program would be able to use code from VPaint if it was under GPL. To perhaps clear up some of your confusion with what GPL applies to, here is a quote from GPLv2: Activities other than copying, distribution and modification are not covered by th...
